It’s a cat-day here on the blgo today. The pet portraits have become so popular and I love painting them so I figure I’d share how this kitty was made.

The beginning is always the hardest. Just blocks of paint trying to shape something that maybe looks like an animal. I do plenty of sketching ahead of time though to get the accuracy down. 

Almost done! Look at that palette, it’s almost overflowing. Check out the finished painting here, such a beautiful cat. The owner was blown away which makes me incredibly happy to hear.
