Hi, I’m Erica
I’m a professional pet portrait painter with a long waitlist for my custom pet portraits.
Painting is my passion and customers and students remark on the extraordinary heart I put into my art and how they can feel the love emanating.
To paint is to breathe for me.
In fact, I sold my first painting at the age of 10.
My true passion lies in painting pet portraits that help others find solace and healing during their journey of pet loss, and teaching my wholehearted pet portrait course to my students.

“Very enjoyable and informative. Thank you!”
“Thank you!!! This class was very inspiring! I am very critical of myself and my ability as an artist, but your class was wonderful in allaying those self-made fears. As an artist, to see art as a part of yourself and your healing is, of course, the truth of it all. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge!”
[HOW TO PAINT SOULFUL EYES]
“She’s truly an inspiration! I often struggle with identifying the colors and I loved it! The way Erica teaches (on camera) is very calming and easy to follow. I learned to blend and smooth out the colors in the eyes so they look softer and soulful. She’s truly an inspiration!”

MORE LOVE NOTES
“This course is jampacked!”
“I stumbled upon Erica on Instagram and was open to learning new techniques. This course is jam packed. Erica really helped me look for the colors in the eyes, and I especially enjoyed blending and working wet-on-wet when possible. She gives her all when teaching and sharing. She’s very open, giving person and I’m very grateful for her knowledge and talent.”
Patti, painter from Alberta, Canada
“It was inspiring and encouraging”
“I love painting animals but I find painting realistic eyes very difficult. I loved the way Erica painted eyes and doing her course was very inspiring and encouraging. I specifically liked the way she used different tones for the pupil and the reflection in the eye.”
Linda Ashmore, painter from British Columbia, Canada
“It is very thoughtfully done and well planned.”
Jenny, mother and interior designer from Virginia
“It was so exciting to see the painting come to life!”
“I really liked the illustrations and photos Erica provided for all the steps. This was a fun experience during a busy time in my life. I definitely recommend it to other beginners as long as you’re up for a fun and sometimes challenging time. I’m really pleased with how my painting turned out and I enjoyed learning this way.”
