DAY 10: PAINT THE FEELING OF LOVE
Welcome to Day 10 my friend!
Today I offer a word prompt to tap into our hearts to allow for our art to flow from a feeling of love. It may seem a bit silly to paint a feeling, but painting something we want to manifest can be quite profound. Painting with a feeling of love will also allow you to sit in this wonderful energy while you’re painting. The more you feel love the more it will grow, and if you paint something from a feeling of love it creates a ripple effect into the world and you spread more love as well.
HERE ARE SOME IDEAS:
How do you paint a feeling? How do you paint love? You can do this in two ways:
- Paint the word or feeling of love: If you could paint love what would it look like? Maybe an abstract painting of different colors, or lots of hearts? Some people can hear a word and instantly see a color in their mind’s eye, or experience the word through another sense. Maybe you can taste the word love? If the feeling of love makes you feel all warm inside what would that look like? Allow for this to be easy and simple.
- Paint something you love: I love my garden, tea, to travel, my family for example. To receive the ease of this challenge and keep the feeling of love in my heart while I paint I would focus on simplifying this by painting either a favorite flower, or a tea cup, maybe a beach ball or the Eiffle Tower, maybe create name art with my children’s names.
The Painting Practice
Remember to turn off your phone notifications before you start.
- Create an outline if you want, say a 4×6 inches rectangular.
- Tap into love and choose what you want to paint, the feeling or something you love.
- Choose your colors, they can be whatever colors you’d like.
- Grab some water and your brushes, and don’t forget a towel to clean off your wet brush.
- Now, set a gentle timer and paint for 20 minutes for some meditative joy and playful painting. The focus of this challenge is to enjoy the feeling of love. Every one feels and experiences love differently. Even if you simply paint a heart you’re doing this challenge right.
SHARE YOUR CREATION:
Take a photo of your finished challenge and share in our Facebook Group. How did this challenge feel? Was it odd to paint a feeling or something you love? How was it to paint something without a reference photo? Let me know when you share your photo.
If you feel called to continue painting past 20 minutes, please do so and let us know when you share it.
