I was so honored and flattered when the co-founder of Knock Out Abuse Against Women, my good friend Jill Sorensen, asked me if I wanted to donate one of my original paintings to the 17th Annual Knock Out Abuse Against Women Annual Gala and their silent auction on Nov. 11. This gala is rated as one of the biggest social events in the DC area! All proceeds benefit victims of domestic violence. I am so excited to be a part in this and to help in anyway I can.
During this fundraising gala, 750 of Washington D.C.’s most prominent women, from members of Congress to leaders in the corporate and philanthropic communities, get together to help victims of domestic violence in the DC area. Since 1993, the annual event has raised over 6.5 million dollars!
So what am I donating? I chose a painting that I really love. I think the colors are soothing and spa-like but still fun and modern at the same time. Drum-roll please!
So keep your fingers crossed that the Closed Tulip III will generate lots of interest and many people will bid on it during the silent auction so I can help contribute to this important cause! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed in person as I’m attending as Jill’s guest! I’m very excited! This is going to be FUN!
Thank you Jill for giving me this opportunity!
