My Mom makes the loveliest little Christmas trees and they are really getting me in the Holiday mood. I stopped by her place the other day and couldn’t resist but take a snapshot of these lovely items – perfect for the holidays. I may have to grab one myself. You can see some of her Easter decorations in the background.
Her talent doesn’t stop with crafty Christmas trees, she also makes wonderful and interesting multimedia paintings which includes craft elements. If you follow me on instagram (@studioeriksdotter) you’ve already seen these a few months ago.
She’s so creative. Her paintings which includes craft elements which adds dimension and interesting texture to her pieces. She crochets the net with beautiful metal wire from Scandinavia which forms the various craft object. They are then attached to the paintings. The technique is something she learned while working as a florist at royal warrant appointed flower shops in both Denmark and Norway (issued to tradespeople who supply goods or services to a royal court).
