Turquoise Closed Tulip – Original

2016-09-15T11:52:19-04:00

Please contact The Veranda Gallery in Fair Haven, New Jersey, for this piece. A wonderful turquoise tulip just waiting to blossom. This original painting is of a turquoise tulip that is budding on a gray background which balances out the painting and creates a very soothing feeling. The gray background color continues onto all sides. It measures 18 x 24 inches, and is 1.5 inches deep. It is framed in a black floater. It looks fantastic paired with [...]

What’s going on in the studio?

2022-10-23T14:53:30-04:00

It’s been quiet here on the blog for a bit but it sure hasn’t been quiet in the studio. Sorry for not keeping you updated more, but I’ve been working hard on watercolor renderings for my friend’s shopping site, Live.Like.You, which launches in October. The watercolors will be part of the site, but some of my acrylics will be for sale! So, what’s Live.Like.You? It’s a shopping site where you get free home designs suited to your personality [...]

A gift to myself

2013-04-22T15:37:38-04:00

I've been working so hard lately. Trying to juggle several different projects and timing them just right. Barely having an evening off or a weekend free - and after the launch of the new site I'm absolutely pooped. So when I went to the hairdresser the other day I decided I wanted to treat myself to some good hair products. Don't you think that hair products are like tiny spa moments? You treat your hair to a nice [...]

Studio makeover II

2013-04-08T14:54:15-04:00

I'm officially done with all the painting. Man, that took three days! I'm off to varnish a bridal bouquet painting but first I wanted to show you some photos from yesterday's adventure: the closet! BEFORE Sure, I could have left the closet as is, but I'm just not that kind. As I mentioned yesterday, I tend to paint the closets when doing a room. I assume everyone matches but it may just be me. I guess I really [...]

Friday prints

2024-08-26T16:26:21-04:00

"Sunny Daisy" was the biggest fan favorite last year and I'm thrilled to be able to offer it as a 4x10 fine art print in the shop! She's so pretty and a joy to have in any room.   {Rasmus and the "Sunny Daisy" print. And no, neither he or his butt print comes with the actual purchase} The next print is of "Skyline," which is also now available in the shop. I really love the colors in [...]

To bee a print…

2024-08-26T16:26:46-04:00

The "Bee Daisy" fine art print is up! It's the same size as the other daisies, 4x10 inches. This mat, available at Michael's or your local arts and craft store, measures 11x14 on the outside.  {fine art print by Erica Eriksdotter} So now there are three lovely daisies available in prints and they look really great grouped together on a wall. Check out Gallery 1 and Sold to see the originals. {"Purple Daisy," "Sunny Daisy" and "Bee Daisy"} [...]

Original painting: Royal bridal bouquet

2024-08-26T16:34:45-04:00

IT'S DONE! {Original acrylic of Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria's actual bridal bouquet} It's finished! I knew almost a year before the Crown Princess of Sweden, Victoria's wedding that I wanted to paint her bridal bouquet and then give it to the couple as their wedding gift. Why not!? The goal is to hand-deliver it at the Castle during our trip at the end of this year. {Done on gallery wrapped canvas measuring 24x18x1.5 inches (61x46x3.8)} The 12 [...]

Original Painting: The Pearl

2024-08-26T18:33:19-04:00

{The Pearl, original painting by Erica Eriksdotter} It was hard to keep this piece all to myself while I was painting it. I wanted to share a photo of it every minute as it built into this colorful jewel.  The Pearl is an original acrylic that measures 30 x 40 inches and is 1.5 inches (76 x 102 x 3.8 cm). It's a close up of a purple/pink and green calla lily. The background is a mix of a yellow/gold [...]

The making of a bridal bouquet

2024-08-26T18:36:50-04:00

Since I don't have any fine art shows scheduled for August, I'm cranking out a few bridal bouquets that are on the waiting list. I'm thinking of bringing one or two to the Richmond Bridal Showcase on Aug. 14, which I'm really excited about. Hopefully all the brides will love this unique idea and reserve theirs right on the spot! I have a couple of free tickets... anyone interested in going? I'd be happy to mail them to [...]
