“Purple Lotus” – Painting a Day No 10
10 x 8 x 1.5 inches (26x21x4cm)
SOLD
This soft purple painting of an blossoming lotus is the 10th painting and the last one in my “Painting a Day” series. The lotus flower is associated with perfection, purity, beauty and enlightment in Buddhism and Hinduism. It grows in deep mud, far away from the sunlight but eventually it grows tall and reaches the light and becomes one of the most loved flowers. It represents the awakening of consciousness and symbolizes the seventh chakra (or energy center) which my fellow yogis may be familiar with.
The painting has a calm feel to it when viewed in real life, something that’s a little difficult to capture on camera. As the lotus gently unfolds you can see a glimpse of its yellow center between a few of the petals. The background is a light blue background, best visible in the above photo.
“Purple Lotus” is an original acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. It measures 8×10 inches and is 1.5 inches deep.
The painting is signed on the front and signed, titled and dated on the back. I will package it carefully for protection and ship it via USPS.
