Keegan’s Pet Portrait

This darling Akita was a surprise portrait from my client to his wife as a memorial to their companion who passed away the previous year, at the age of 10. It hit her especially hard, they were best friends.

My client couldn’t keep it a secret for long as we started the process. He saw the value in how healing watching Keegan come alive was and shared the progress with his wife. She loved it and was then part of the decision making. She decided on a lighter blue background color as Keegan loved being outside.

“Words cannot express how happy Leslie and I are with the picture of Keegan.  It put a big smile on her face and a tear eye.  I think she will be requesting a picture of all her Akitas and create a wall of her dogs.  I will stay in touch, I know you are busy but I would love to have you paint the rest of our family of furry friends. “
