Fanny’s Pet Portrait

Fanny’s pet portrait is a custom original acrylic painting of a white french bulldog commissioned as a gift by a husband from Virginia. He wanted to surprise his wife with a personalized dog painting for Christmas. With a “perpetual disgruntled” look on her face, Fanny is the joy of her parents and a total sweetheart. His wife was thrilled!
The blue background was suggested by the client as a good fit with her cream colored coat, and we collaborated on just the right shade. It was such a joy to work on this little girl.
“When I opened the Christmas present from my husband, I said out loud, ‘Oh, it’s a portrait of a bulldog.’ And then I took a closer look and said, ‘It’s a portrait on MY bulldog!’ I immediately burst into tears.
